Girls like Serena don’t end up with Dan Humphrey. They end up with the Carters of the world.

And after all, Cece was right. 

But Lily/Rufus/Bart don’t belong there. I don’t think Lily is honest with Bart. It’s either a scheme or something else, but she loves Rufus and never loved Bart.

A) Cece is flawless, so of course she’s right.

B) I have to agree that Bart/Lily/Rufus doesn’t belong here, because Lily is just getting back at Rufus through Bart, and will probably divorce him before the end of the show. 

C) The irony is this wouldn’t have happened if Dan had stayed the person he was in 1.10. He didn’t lose Serena (and Blair) because he was Dan Humphrey from Brooklyn - instead he lost both of them because he became someone more interested in being part of a clique and having the same kind of fame/lifestyle as the UES while still remaining “superior” to them. Besides, Serena still loves Dan, right? So if he were still the same unassuming guy that saw the best in her, then they would be together.
